The Theta Beta Chapter was one of the first chapters in the nation to have a website, and it is a matter of great pride for us. Read about the history of the site, as well as about those brothers who have helped to make it a possibility.

The original website was the result of several years worth of work and energy combined into one whole. Theta Beta's webpage was originally written by Stephen Dale "Peart" #72. With his computer know-how and immense sense of fraternal dedication, Steve set our chapter on the path of the internet.

Following Steve, the website was maintained and improved upon by Ed Santora "Exterminator" #105. He added several important sections to the content of the site, such as Family Ttrees and Tempo. Ed's vast amounts of fraternal knowledge were carefully catalogued and written into the content of our site, making it one of the most comprehensive chapter websites available.

Following Ed, Theta Beta's website was updated, added to, and generally maintained by Meredith Johnson "Houseguest" #103. She included several valuable new sections to Ed's basic format, including some relevant band links, additional chapter links, and a small photo gallery.

The next iteration of Theta Beta Chapter's website was designed by Tom Wall "Mouth" #121 and Greg Robinson "Seaman" #130. The goal was to take all of the content provided by the hard work of those who came before them, and put it all together, along with some additions, into a nicer format that was easier to maintain. All graphics presented there were original, as was all html code. Thanks go to Seth Pritikin "Cocky Ass Son of a Bitch" #117 for his help with the graphics and design of the "Powered by Theta Beta" logo.

Once the foundation was solidly laid, George Lam "ABBA" #155, took the site to a new level in introducing better graphics, multi-media, and online forms, in addition to laying the groundwork for brothers' profiles to be available online.

After much revision by the 2001-02 chair, Meredith Butulis "Phlegmatic" #135, the Theta Beta website was again maintained by George Lam for the 2002-03 academic year. However, George Lam had a personal reason so he was not able to maintain the site after half way through the year. At that point, John Ebrecht "Recon" #169, maintained the Theta Beta website for the rest of the year.

From 2003-2006, the Theta Beta website was maintained and updated by James Kim "Cheese!" #180, who brought a new look to the website.

After James Kim graduated, the Theta Beta site was maintained and updated by Phil Nichols "Meat Loaf" #201 from 2006-2007. In the summer of 2008, being a Computer Science major, and wanting to gain valuable experience for his future, Phil brought the website into the modern age of Web Design and Web Development. The new website now implements the latest CSS techniques for a more appealing design. Phil also created the Thetabase, a database of all current and past Theta Beta Brothers, which is used with PHP and MySQL to bring a more dynamic experience to the website, and to also allow for scalabilty and ease of use for future Theta Beta Web Developers.
